Students and Teacher of the Month for January:

NMS would like to honor the following students and teacher for their outstanding character performance for the 4th Six Week Period: 

6^th Grade:  The sixth grade Student of the Month for January is Holly Yeates.  Her teachers say that Holly is a very respectful young lady who is always willing to help her peers and teachers.  She always finishes her work on time, usually early.  She is a hard-working student who goes far beyond expectations.  

 7^th Grade:  The seventh grade Student of the Month is Naushurell Scott.  Naushurell’s teachers say that she is dependable and respectful and has an overall great attitude.  She is a joy to have in class and her teachers feel honored to be part of her life. 

8^th Grade: The 8^th grade Student of the Month is Kennedy Williams.  Kennedy’s teachers describe her as hardworking, carying, honest, and trustworthy.  She always has a smile on her face that would brighten anyone’s day.  Super Job, Kennedy!

Teacher:   Kelley Spivey is our Teacher of the Month.  Mrs. Spivey teachers Art to all grade levels at NMS.  She is praised for her ability to think outside the box in order to meet her students needs in new and innovative ways.  She also encourages her students to step out of their comfort zones in order to improve their social skills.  According to one student, “My favorite thing about Mrs. Spivey is that she never gives up and always does her best in trying to help others.”
