Erica Johnson is named NMS Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Johnson is an innovative teacher who utilizes technology in her classroom to incorporate 21^st Century skills into her curriculum to ensure her will be successful both now and in their future careers. She designs lessons that keep her students highly engaged in her classroom.   Next year, she will be teaching robotics classes as well to teach students coding skills and coaching a robotics team that will use the skills they learn in competitions with other schools.  In addition to her superior teaching skills, Mrs. Johnson is a  valuable member of her grade level team mentoring other teachers and supporting them both in and out of the classroom.  As the president of the Faculty Social Committee, she helps keep faculty morale up and is always coming up with creative ideas for encouraging and supporting our staff.  Congratulations, Mrs. Johnson, on this well-deserved award.
