The Newton ISD Police Department supports and serves the district by promoting selfless service, safety and assisting in the prevention of drugs and violence on our campuses.

Newton ISD Police Department is a fully operational, community oriented policing agency that was approved for operation on March 31, 2022 by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. It operates primarily within the geographic area of Newton ISD: south of Burkeville, north of Deweyville, between Jasper Co. and the Louisiana state lines and encompasses 392 square miles. It provides law enforcement services to Newton Elementary School, Newton Middle School, Newton High School, as well as the administration building and alternative school campus. In addition it is also responsible for visitor management, emergency management, and  truancy. It is staffed by full time law enforcement offcers with a combined total of nearly 100 years of experience who were specifically chosen and specially trained for their roles in our district.  

We unfortunately live in a very uncertain world and in unprecedented times. Our schools should be a place of refuge and happines for our children. Our department is committed to providing a safe and educational environment for our students, staff, and the visitors we serve. This task is not possible without the support of the community at large. Our department is your department. Our success is your success.

I am committed to providing our Eagles and staff with an accountable, transparent, and successful law enforcement service. I intend to be accessible, visible, and accountable for the actions we take. Thank you for entrusting us with the safety and security of our future.
